Miracles and marriage. The Benny Hinn Example

In 2011 when i first heard the news of the breakdown of pastor Benny Hinn's marriage and subsequent divorce i was overwhelmed. Not because i thought he was anything but human. Nor was it because i felt his wife being the daughter of a pastor was perfect but because of the circumstances of Benny Hinn's marriage which he dutifully spoke about in his seminal classic, "Good Morning Holy Spirit".

In the book he talks about how God led him to meet his wife.

On hearing that there marriage collapsed after 30 years i was heart broken. Could God have made a mistake? What could have gone wrong?

As a ministry partner i received information as the story progressed and Benny dutifully acknowledged that he erred in his marriage but it was NEVER infidelity. Which is a problem i will have to square up to when i do decide to sign that dotted register.

Marriage is under attack as never before. And sadly, many Christian leaders who should be leading the way not only aren’t speaking up, but their own marriages are in disarray. Therefore i am pleased to report the goodnews, which is that both Benny and wife Suzanne are back.

God is ABLE!

Let him tell us in his own words.

Benny and Suzanne Hinn

We enjoyed such a beautiful, anointed service, conducted by Dr. Jack Hayford, evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, and Suzanne’s father, Dr. Roy Harthern.
We know, without a shadow of a doubt, that the hand of God has brought this to pass, and to Jesus be all glory, honor, and praise! It is with deep emotion and a full heart that I say thank you, thank you, thank you for praying for my sweet family and me! It is because of your prayers, intercession, and love that we are where we are today.
Many partners around the world have responded in such a heart-warming way with excerpts from our ceremony on This Is Your Day. Those who attended the ceremony expressed it best:
“Flawless, beautiful, and heavenly!”
“A glorious day of restoration.”
“Deeply moving!”
This historic service marked the culmination of a mighty season of miracles that began during the 2011 Christmas season, and you’ll see it all on our wedding ceremony DVD—the music, worship, vows, memories, the deeply meaningful communion service, and candid family moments. You will listen to our seven confessions that my father-in-law gave to us to profess over each other.
A New Chapter Begins
Most of all, I believe you will see why people around the world have responded so positively to the new chapter of our marriage and ministry.
And it is that new season of ministry that I especially want to share with you today.
Everywhere I’ve been during recent weeks having announced our restoration ceremony, crowds have applauded, cheered, and even wept. In Brazil, 50,000 people stood and cheered when I made the announcement.
Our Facebook and Twitter responses have been staggering as people report that our miracle has been an incredible faith-builder to them.
God has spoken clearly that He is adding a new dimension to our ministry, focusing on people, marriages, and homes that are hurting and need healing, just as ours did during a desperate time in our lives.
An Unprecedented Season of Miracles
I truly believe that we are entering an unprecedented season where we will see God’s anointing in a way we’ve never experienced before! We believe, as we move forward, that through our ministry God will not only save souls and heal bodies, but will also heal families.
Here is the point of my letter to you: Your miracle is on its way!
Whether you are faced with personal or physical challenges or “mountains” in your home, the God we serve is mightier than might. He is truly “able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20).
Never ever give up! That is the secret for victory.
Honestly, I almost gave up. Suzanne almost gave up. In our heart of hearts, we saw little or no hope. Humanly speaking, it seemed absolutely impossible. The disaster that took place in our married life occurred because we did nearly give up. But God never gave up on us…and neither did you.
And because you prayed, we were rescued and are now continuing to be restored. And because of your prayers and encouragement, we have literally seen proof that “with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37).
Your Miracle Is On Its Way!
Don’t give up! Your miracle is on its way! There are people praying for you. I am praying for you. Your “impossible” struggle can be turned into victory!
Do you feel weak?
God specializes in our weakness!
God promises, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Because of God’s grace, He will restore your home, your favor, your protection, your fellowship with Him, and so much more. Your peace will return.
I’ve seen this happen in my own life. I’ve seen a new intensity of favor and restoration in this ministry, as I recently stood before 50,000 people in Brazil and watched as God literally took over.

God is ready to do the “impossible” in your life!
We are in a supernatural season of answered prayer, and I want you to be part of this mighty anointing! Take a few moments to send us your prayer requests so Suzanne and I can stand in agreement with you in prayer for God to work miracles of restoration in your life.
And as you send your important requests, prayerfully consider sowing a generous seed into the fertile soil of this worldwide ministry. Be a faithful giver, and you will be amazed at the results.
We know that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (2 Corinthians 10:4). No power can resist the name of Jesus, for God has “given him a name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9). In His name, I am praying that your “impossible” miracle will take place.
Sow your seed today. Your miracle is coming!
May God bless you mightily for the most generous gift you can give during this critical time. Give to the Lord your best seed-gift today, and be prepared for His blessings, for we know it is “not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6)…
With warmest Christian love,

Benny Hinn
