The value placed on an individual directly corresponds to his or her ability. The Concise Oxford Dictionary defines ability as "talent, skill or proficiency in a particular area" and "possession of the means and skill to do something". The simplest way to gain skill or proficiency is to study. There are lots of ways and means to do this including but not limited to education, employment or training. The choice is yours. In the university of life, knowledge is caught but in a college or university, knowledge is taught. The great thing is that it is never too late. Anyone can develop abilities where they had none or further refine and improve previous skill sets. Therefore everyone can increase value just like a diamond is polished or crude oil is refined.
